At the moment, Mother Earth is in a perilous situation. And we kind of need to do something about it, desperately. Calm down, you don’t have to change everything at once. Little bits at a time are the best way to go, since we have a daunting task before us.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, how is little old me going to help save the planet. Well you’re not alone in thinking that. And that’s the problem. We need to sort ourselves out and help out the planet, that has painstakingly housing our ungrateful butts.
Don’t worry takeout food is ok, but here is something you can start doing that will help takeout global warming. *snicker*
When placing your order, simply say that you do not need any plastic cutlery. I’m pretty sure you have your own cutlery at home you can use.
Change your light bulbs
Switch to energy efficient bulbs and fill your home with the glow of a happy planet.
Question, how many generations will thank you for changing your lightbulbs? A heck of a lot.
I’m guilty of this, and I don’t even know why I do it. Don’t leave the tap running when brushing your teeth. Seriously, why do we do this? Are we scared to let our spit linger in the sink? Do we want a tiny waterfall in our house?
Cut out beef
Not only is beef not great for you. Cows produce a lot of methane, and because humans love meat, we have bred a lot of cows. So, if going vegetarian is too daunting for you, consider cutting out or just eating less beef.
Help save the planet and grow pretty flowers in your garden. I don’t have a garden, so writing this out made me sad. But If I did, I’d be filling it with lavender and camomile, and daisies. You guys are so lucky. Another great thing you can do it make a little bee hotel, for the little guys to rest in.
Buy bamboo Toothbrushes
They look pretty rad.
Ladies, this one is for you. I’m slightly scared of the cup. But I’m going to give it a go, for you. Also, If I like it, I’m going to save so much money, and you know what I’m going to do with that money. Buy takeout.
Drying your clothes
If possible, avoid using the dryer, and dry your clothes on a clothes line instead. A welcome bonus, the clothes smell deliciously fresh.

It’ll take some time getting used to some of these changes, so take your time, and just know that what you are trying to do matters.
